Sanders ‘Pathetic’ That NYT Op-Ed Getting So Much Attention – DOJ Should ‘Look Into’ Op-Ed

During Monday’s White House Press Briefing, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated that it is “sad and pathetic” that the New York Times op-ed has gotten so much attention and that the DOJ should “look into” the op-ed to see if it violated the law.

Sanders said, “It’s frankly, I think, sad and pathetic that a gutless, anonymous source could receive so much attention from the media, and I think that the American people would be much better served if we actually spent some time talking about some of the really important things that are facing our country and the things that this administration is doing to help fix them.”

She later discussed the prospect that the op-ed violated the law, stating, “It’s [up to] the Department of Justice to make that determination and we’re asking them to look into it and make that determination, and they certainly are fully capable of doing that. But someone actively trying to undermine the duly elected president and the entire executive branch of government, that seems quite problematic to me, and something that they should take a look at.”
