Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” host Nicolle Wallace discussed a Washington Post report that President Trump has told officials he will issue pardons if government employees have to break laws to get the border wall done.
Wallace said, “This second news organization to report on the promise of a pardon around immigration policies. It would appear to me he would like to turn to criminality—criminal conduct from U.S. federal government employees involved in the creation and enforcement of his immigration policies to win re-election. That would seem to me to render the entire debate that has taken place around whether or not to commence with impeachment inquiries on abuse of power as quaint.”
