A newlywed teacher who worked at a private high school in Florida is accused of sending a 15-year-old boy multiple nude pictures of herself on Instagram and having sex with him in a park more than once.
Police arrested Kassandra Moore, 31, and charged her on Monday with four counts of lewd and lascivious battery and one count of transmission of harmful material to a minor in connection with the alleged trysts, WWSB reported.
The Bradenton Police Department announced that it was aware of the allegations starting in April when her employer, Broach School, contacted them.
Moore had worked as a high school teacher at Broach School when police received the tip, and the school promptly placed her on administrative leave at the time.
The authorities say they were able to obtain a copy of shared messages over Instagram between Moore and the alleged victim, prompting the local police department to investigate further.
Officers told WFTS that the messages initially began over schoolwork but progressed to a more flirtatious manner as time went on.
“I wanted to just grab you and kiss you, but I didn’t want to make the first move and you reject me,” one message sent by Moore reportedly reads.
Police also discovered upon further investigation that Moore and the teen had sex at a local park four times between March 23 and March 29.
The alleged relationship ended when a fellow student told the principal of the illicit relationship.
Moore was then fired from the school in April. Once administrators put her on leave and reported her to the authorities, police arrested her on Monday. Moore is currently being held in the Manatee County Jail on $31,500 bond.
