SUCKER PUNCH SQUAD: Besides the Leftist Entertainment Media Being Upset, What's Next?

As far as what individual scripts Big Hollywood will be releasing next, that information will have to remain a pleasant a surprise after your first click of whatever morning they are released. We are currently holding a dozen or so SPS reviews on deck. That I can promise. And I do want to thank Mark Tapson, Joe Lindsey, Tim Slagle and Kurt Schlichter for the enormous time, talent and effort each of them put into successfully helping to launch this series.

sucker-punch

Some of you have commented that there are no real sucker punches when you’re dealing with a film starring Sean Penn or directed by Oliver Stone, and wondered why we would waste the SPS reviews on “Fair Game” and “Wall Street 2.”

Three word answer:

The Entertainment Media.

They are the Palace Guards who look out for Hollywood’s ideological and corporate interests. Their job is to pump up Hollywood’s product, run interference for whatever criticism arises, and if possible, turn the story of an upcoming film or television show into a part of the “national political debate.” These water-carriers whose existence depends on currying and retaining favor with the same people they’re supposed to scrutinize and cover, will label these projects everything from fair-minded and thoughtful to non-partisan — all in the hopes of suckering the unsuspecting into one more propaganda-fest and/or ginning up a little Academy interest.

Which brings me to the SPS review of “Fair Game.”

When a major feature film starring two high-profile stars like Naomi Watts and Senn Penn doesn’t contain the words “Richard” or “Armitage” (the man who admitted leaking Valeria Plame’s name) that needs to be a part of the debate and no one should have to wait until the movie’s released to inform the public of that glaring sin of omission.

My guess is that “Fair Game” will reignite the Plame debate on the cable news channels and how much fun will it be to hear some leftist liar like Chris Matthews have to answer this charge: “The movie doesn’t even mention Richard Armitage!”

Goodbye leftist talking point. Because…

Before one critic could even begin to puff “Fair Game” up into something it is not, thanks to Mark Tapson and Whistleblower, we already know that this project is an unserious piece of left-wing propaganda with no respect for the truth.

Spread. The. Word.

Not only were the early SPS reviews high-profile, left-wing projects that Big Hollywood readers should have the jump on, it’s also important that everyone understands that Whistleblower has serious access to high-profile productions.

The entertainment media has already reacted to our SPS exactly as expected. As mentioned above, their job is to run interference for Hollywood and true to form they’ve lowered themselves to the challenge. Like we’ve seen their unholy brethren do with the Tea Party, the entertainment media’s goal is to marginalize what we’re doing as an act of paranoid extremism.

Here’s Chief Water-Carrying Palace Guard, the L.A. Times’ Patrick Goldstein:

Apparently there is no limit to the level of paranoia that right-wingers have when it comes to Hollywood movies, especially ones directed by Oliver Stone.

For some reason the opinion of a guy who compared Roman Polanski to the victim in “Les Miserables” doesn’t mean a whole lot to me.

Another bigtime insider who came after us in the same tired way was the Awards Daily blog:

I’m just imagining the person stumbling out of the movie theater, red-faced and pissed because their delicate sensibilities have just been assaulted by left wing propaganda. The Sucker Punch Squad is on the case.

When you don’t have humanity or facts on your side all that remains is Alinsky-ridicule, right?

Well, they may have Alinsky but Big Hollywood has the scripts.

Stay tuned. Because What’s Next is the timing of our SPS review releases right in the middle of the Leftist Entertainment Media’s shameless water-carrying parade.
