TRAILER PREMIERE: 'Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader'

[Ed. Note: Big Hollywood is proud to be among only a handful of film sites chosen to premiere the new “Narnia” trailer: “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” which won’t be officially released until Friday. Carl has more below. ]

The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader Official Teaser Trailer

Rising above the crowd of mediocre and anti-Christian messages of much Hollywood fare, the first two filmed installments of C.S. Lewis’ epic “Chronicles of Narnia” series – 2005’s “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” and 2008’s “Prince Caspian” – were bracing reminders that family entertainment could also be inventive and exciting. Marrying top-notch special effects with timeless storytelling that was rich in Christian allegory, both films proved to be wildly successful examples of what Hollywood should be making more often.

Now, the third installment of the series – “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” – is destined for release this Christmas, and 20th Century Fox has shown its appreciation for the Christian audience by offering the film’s trailer first – a full day ahead of major secular outlets like Yahoo, IMDB and AOL – to the readers and fans that frequent 150 faith-based online and television outlets.

The exciting third chapter in the series sails for adventure with the fantastic Narnian ship, the Dawn Treader. Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace and royal friend King Caspian, are swallowed into a painting and onto the Dawn Treader. Per the breathless press release, “as they embark on an incredible adventure of destiny and discovery, they confront obstacles beyond imagination.”

Besides showing Christian and conservative sites thanks and respect for all their support, Fox is hoping to stir up excitement among those core audiences and give them something to look forward to amid this lackluster summer season. Open this trailer now, and remember to return the favor by checking out the film when it really opens big December 10.
