A televised performance by rapper Kanye West at this year’s Glastonbury music Festival in the U.K. was halted on Saturday night, after a man rushed the stage.

According to the Daily Mail, a petition signed by more than 100 thousand music fans had been circulating to have West’s Glastonbury spot cancelled, but the rapper decided to go ahead with the show anyway.

Kanye, who is known for inserting himself into other artist’s big moments, was performing the song “Black Skinhead” when British comedian Lee Nelson decided to channel his inner-Kanye.

Wearing a “LEE-ZUS” T-shirt to mock West’s 2013 album Yeezus, Lee jumped on stage, and had Kanye looking pretty irritated.

As the comedian was escorted out by a member of security, the rapper walked off stage and directed his team to “start it over.”

Lee later wrote on Twitter:

West has acted similarly twice at awards ceremonies in recent years.

In 2009, he interrupted pop singer Taylor Swift as she accepted an award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

In February of this year, West ruined alternative artist Beck’s Grammy award acceptance speech, by joining him on stage.

In both instances, West said he felt the award should have been given to Beyoncé.

BBC reports after regrouping, Kanye told the crowd: “I’m going to say this tonight because 20 years from now, 30 years from now, 40 years from now, I might not be able to say it, but I can say it tonight… You are now watching the greatest living rock star on the planet.”

Neil McCormick of the Daily Telegraph wrote after the show, “If you didn’t like West before this, he may well have confirmed all your worst suspicions.”
