President Donald Trump has made clear his feelings at the tragic death of actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, who were found in their Brentwood mansion Sunday with wounds that were reportedly consistent with a knife.

Trump called it “a very sad thing” that the pair had lost their lives in a possible homicide.

He then further detailed what he considered to be Rob Reiner’s all-consuming “Trump derangement syndrome” in his post on the Truth Social Network:

Rob Reiner was a frequent critic of Trump and forewarned of the impact he would have on the country, not only regarding his second term in the White House, but also his first.

As Newsweek notes, in 2017, Reiner said he thought Trump was “mentally unfit” to be president in an interview with Variety and said he was the “single most unqualified human being to ever assume the presidency of the United States.”

One year later he called Trump a “mentally ill sociopath.”

The longtime Democrat activist also blamed Trump for the 2022 attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband, Paul Pelosi, claiming it was “directly” tied to Trump challenging the legitimacy of the 2020 election.

Police are currently investigating the death of the couple as a possible homicide with a family member being investigated, as Breitbart News reports.

TMZ broke the initial report that Rob Reiner – who gave the world such timeless classics as Stand by MeThe Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally – and his wife, Michele, were found dead in his Brentwood mansion.
