A young Conservative Party activist committed suicide last night, throwing himself under a train, according to his close friends, Breitbart London has learned.

Twenty-one year old Elliott Johnson, who had run several Tory-affiliated blogs as well having been a volunteer for the Conservative Party, reportedly left a note behind before taking his own life that drew attention to people bullying him.

Friends of Mr Johnson told Breitbart London that “he was a really nice guy” and that he had struggled with personal problems in recent weeks. He had recently served out his notice period from his role as Political Editor at the Conservative Party affiliated think tank, Conservative Way Forward. His actions are not believed to be related to this, and he was said to have a new job interview in the next week.

Mr Johnson was recently, on August 12th, involved in a heated public exchange with a Conservative Party director.

Friends and colleagues were in shock today, and paid tribute to Mr Johnson’s character and work ethic.

He stopped the ThingsElliottSays blog in January of this year and founded the Right of Centre website which ceased operations in May 2015.

He was recently noted for forcing Labour Mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan to distance himself from Islamic extremists in his constituency, where Mr Johnson is understood to have lived.

A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) told Breitbart London: “We were called at 6.42pm on Tuesday, 15 September, to Sandy station in Bedfordshire, following reports of a body on the line.

“Colleagues from Bedfordshire Police and East of England Ambulance Service also attended, and a 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, and his family has been informed.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The police could not confirm the identity of the man.
