Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson to star in Netflix’s ‘Virgin River’

Dec. 22 (UPI) — This is Us actress Alexandra Breckenridge and Grey’s Anatomy alum Martin Henderson will co-star in the Netflix series Virgin River.

Set in a remote northern California town, the contemporary romance follows Breckenridge’s character Melinda Monroe, a nurse practitioner eager to escape a painful past, a press release said.

Henderson plays Jack Sheridan, a former Marine commander and war veteran looking for a peaceful life.

The ensemble will also include Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Jenny Cooper, David Cubitt and Lexa Doig.

The 10-episode drama is based on Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series of novels.

Sue Tenney, whose credits include Good Witch and Cedar Cove, will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
