March 31 (UPI) — Warner Bros. and DC released the full-length trailer for Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock as the titular hero racing against time to save her dog.
The trailer, released Tuesday, finds Supergirl aimlessly drifting through the galaxy with her dog, Krypto, when they encounter a space-faring crime lord (Matthias Schoenaerts) who shoots the super powered dog with a poison dart.
Supergirl, with only three days to retrieve the antidote, sets off on a quest to find the man responsible alongside a young girl (Eve Ridley) whose father was killed by the same criminal.
The trailer also features appearances by David Corenswet as Superman and Jason Momoa as Lobo.
“When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice,” the official synopsis reads.
Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.
David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham also star.
Supergirl releases in theaters on June 26.
