Nancy Pelosi Works To Enlist Republicans In Amnesty Push

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is working to to enlist 30 specific House Republicans on a mission to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

In a memorandum from the chief cosponsors of the Democratic House comprehensive immigration bill to “interested parties” published on Pelosi’s House website and pushed to press by her communications team, Pelosi specifically targets 30 Republicans she says aren’t working hard enough for amnesty. “It’s Time for [Insert name of GOP House member here] to Walk the Walk on Immigration Reform,” the memo, from Democrat Reps. Jared Polis (D-CO), Judy Chu (D-CA), Suzan DelBene (D-WA), Joe Garcia (D-FL) and Steven Horsford (D-NV), is titled.

The Republicans who Pelosi is targeting include: Reps. Don Young (R-AK), Chris Stewart (R-UT), Sean Duffy (R-WI), Spencer Bachus (R-AL), Jeff Denham (R-CA), David Valadao (R-CA), Greg Walden (R-OR), Paul Ryan (R-WI), Michael Grimm (R-NY), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Mark Amodei (R-NV), Mike Coffman (R-CO), James Lankford (R-OK), Mike Kelly (R-PA), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Devin Nunes (R-CA), Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), Joe Heck (R-NV), Peter King (R-NY), Raul Labrador (R-ID), Sam Johnson (R-TX), John Carter (R-TX), Daniel Webster (R-FL), Aaron Schock (R-IL), Steve Pearce (R-NM), Tim Griffin (R-AR), Justin Amash (R-MI), Vance McAllister (R-LA) and Renee Ellmers (R-NC).

“Recently, House Democrats launched a #DemandAVote discharge petition to bring H.R. 15, a bipartisan immigration reform bill, to the floor for a vote,” the Pelosi-pushed Democrat memo reads. “We know we have the votes to pass immigration reform in the House: 200 Members, including 3 Republicans cosponsored H.R. 15, and another 30 Republicans, including [insert name of GOP member], have come out in favor of reform.”

A few of the Republican names are fairly interesting targets. Reps. Jeff Denham (R-CA) and Mike Coffman (R-CO) are leading–with the support of Majority Leader Eric Cantor–a push to insert amnesty for illegal alien DREAMers who enlist in the military into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), the former GOP Vice Presidential candidate, has been an outspoken supporter of amnesty, and Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) has had a series of public outbursts about the issue and said critics of her views are ignorant. Rep. James Lankford (R-OK)–a member of House GOP leadership–is running for the U.S. Senate in Oklahoma against the Tea Party-backed former Oklahoma House Speaker T.W. Shannon.

Pelosi’s memo also backs the Chamber of Commerce’s support for amnesty, and a list of 600 businesses calling for amnesty including fast food giant McDonald’s, tech titan IBM, hotelier Hilton Worldwide, defense contractor Halliburton, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s FWD.us, Facebook itself, delivery company DHL, and more.

“It has been more than 275 days since the Senate passed its bipartisan immigration reform,” the Democrats wrote in Pelosi’s memo. “Now is the time for Rep. Mike Coffman to sign the discharge petition and demonstrate to the American people and the thousands living in Colorado that he wants to see the House of Representatives do the same. It is time to fix our broken immigration system and restore our American values.”

A congressional GOP aide told Breitbart News this is proof why no Republican should support any form of amnesty–because Democrats will always push for more, and hold it over their heads politically forever.

“The Democrat machine and big labor are pushing amnesty to increase their power,” the aide said. “No amount of amnesty will ever satisfy them. No amount of immigration will ever fill their needs.”
