Judge Roy Moore Invokes Jeff Sessions, Vows Allegiance to Pro-American Immigration Reform Movement

Populist conservative Judge Roy Moore invoked Attorney General Jeff Sessions on the issue of immigration during his final plea to Alabama voters ahead of Tuesday’s United States Senate election, in which he faces off against Democrat Doug Jones.

In a speech to Alabamians, Moore pledged his support to the populist-economic nationalist immigration agenda that President Trump and Sessions have spearheaded in Washington, D.C.

Sessions, whose Senate seat Moore is vying for, is considered a godfather of the pro-American immigration reform movement that has long advocated for building a border wall, ending illegal immigration, slashing legal immigration levels to give relief to America’s working and middle-class, and ending sanctuary cities that harbor criminal illegal aliens.

During Moore’s final speech before the election, he invoked Sessions, citing the attorney general’s advocacy for Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. David Perdue’s (R-GA) RAISE Act, which would cut legal immigration in half, taking it from roughly one million legal immigrants a year to 500,000 a year, thus raising the wages of Americans.

“[Doug Jones] considers it right to let [Congress] continue the immigration system that we had under Obama,” Moore said. “I’m in favor of the RAISE Act, which Jeff Sessions has helped push, which would restrict immigration. And we can go to it.”

Throughout Moore’s campaign, he has been clear in his support for not only building a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico, but also his relentless opposition to mass immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens.

For example, Moore exclusively told Breitbart News that he wanted a border that was so strong in order to stop illegal immigration that he would even like to see the U.S. military deployed to the southern border to increase security measures.

“I believe that we can stop illegal aliens from coming across our border within a matter of a week using the United States military to support the border patrol,” Moore stated. “That is not a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act. It has been done by numerous presidents.”

During the campaign, Moore’s campaign chairman Bill Armistead slammed Jones’s opposition to a border wall and his support for amnesty for illegal aliens, which would lead to increased legal immigration.

“The Mexico First policies of Doug Jones are straight from the pit of the failed Obama Administration and have no place in Alabama and certainly not the vacated seat of Jeff Sessions,” Armistead said.

Jones has previously claimed that a border wall would be “too expensive,” as Breitbart News reported, but has failed to mention that illegal immigration costs American taxpayers each about $8,075 or roughly $116 billion annually.

In a robocall for Moore, Trump pleaded with Alabamians to support his pro-American immigration agenda by getting out the vote for the conservative candidate.

“We need Roy voting for us,” Trump says. “I’m stopping illegal immigration and crime, rebuilding a stronger military and protecting the Second Amendment and our pro-life values.”

Moore’s pro-American immigration fight has included staunch opposition to an amnesty for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation under the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“DACA is wrong,” Moore said. “DREAMer is wrong. We need to look at the RAISE Act … the Reform of American Immigration for a Strong Economy. We need to look at vetting these people coming into our country. And pick people that are going to do something for our economy. That’s what Jeff Sessions says.”

More specifically, Moore has stated his opposition to the process known as “chain migration,” whereby more than 70 percent of the more than one million legal immigrants arriving in the U.S. every year are doing so simply because they have foreign relatives already living in the country. These legal immigrants are not subject to proving that they can contribute to the national economy or speak, read, or write English.

“I think we can take care of DACA very easily,” Moore said. “By turning them to the RAISE Act. Pass the RAISE Act in Congress … then we can let [in] the most qualified. A lot of the people on DACA simply aren’t qualified. They haven’t been asked the questions about their entry and where they stand on things. It’s been family-oriented.”
