Michael Avenatti, Who Once Sued the NFL, Arrested for Domestic Violence

The National Football League is not likely too upset over the legal troubles faced by NFL opponent Michael Avenatti who was arrested this week for domestic violence.

Avenatti, the porn star lawyer who spent half the year yelling “we must believe every woman” to anyone who would listen, was arrested and charged with beating a woman on Tuesday. He immediately put out a statement denying he beat anyone and saying that the charges are false and meant to “do harm” to his “reputation.”

Avenatti was the lawyer who jumped in to represent fans who sued the NFL for the Super Bowl XLV ticket mess as well as the 2016 Hall of Fame game cancellation, Pro Football Talk noted.

Also, with the Wednesday’s cancellation of the Rams-Chiefs game that was scheduled to be played in Mexico City — now to be played in San Francisco — the league may have been fearful of fans suing over that mess. Perhaps Avenatti will now be too busy with his own troubles to drum up yet another lawsuit against the league?

Avenatti may also be too busy to continue pursuing his faltering bid to run for the Democrat Party nomination for president. That will be good news to far more than just the NFL.
