Cam Newton Pretends to Sign Kid’s Dustpan, Throws it in the Garbage Instead

Injured Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton asked security to bring him a young Saints fan’s little plastic dustpan, as if he was going to autograph it. But instead, Heisman Trophy winner threw the kid’s dustpan in the garbage.

Newton spent a few minutes trading barbs with some New Orleans Saints fans on Sunday as he sat on the sidelines nursing a shoulder injury.

According to reports, one young Saints fan was carrying a small dustpan, likely to taunt the Panthers for a “sweep.” Since the Saints had won their two previous match-ups. Newton apparently saw the thing and had security bring it over. Everyone thought he was going to sign it, but instead he tossed it in a garbage can on the sidelines to a chorus of boos, Daily Snark reported.

While laughing, Newton then added insult to injury as he threw other pieces of trash on top of the pan as the kid stood there in shocked disbelief.
