Maybe even more than Christmas, the 4th of July might be America’s favorite holiday.

Immediately after a mob of African-Americans were caught on video beating a white man unconscious on July fourth, Cincinnati police said that they did not think the attack was a “hate crime.” But, four days later, Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell has reversed that determination and is asking Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters to pursue hate crime charges in the attack.

Though the very phrase “American Exceptionalism” is often mocked as simple-minded flag waving, there are concrete reasons that the American civilization is unique. The United States has a special place in world history. Despite the bumps, bruises, and outright contradictions that the country has muddled through in its very short existence, Americans can take pride in its numerous accomplishments, actions, and principles throughout the last two centuries.

One of the most disturbing innovations of the Obama era is partisan talking points issued by the government for use at family gatherings. This year HHS has published a blog post offering advice for defending Obamacare over the July 4th holiday. It’s titled, “Tips for Talking to Your Family about the Affordable Care Act this Fourth of July.”

With the fascist left on a fascist rampage, why not add a little defiance to your 4th of July by watching five patriotic movies that piss off The Man. The Man of course being the dominant Left-wing political culture that

Americans celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks, barbecues, picnics and all other kinds of enjoyable festivities. It’s wonderful that we live in a free country and are able to enjoy the fruits of our prosperity and freedom. However, merely wearing red,white, and blue, shirts with bald eagles on them, and other patriotic symbols is only a superficial way to celebrate America’s hard-fought for independence.

Americans were once again given a stern and ominous warning to stay “vigilant” to the threat of terrorist attacks leading up to July Fourth festivities. This warning comes after the recent radical Islamic terrorist attacks overseas in Kuwait, France, and Tunisia were carried out, as well as continued Islamist threats against the U.S.

The city of Cupertino will not put on its annual fireworks display this year due to California’s devastating four-year-long drought.
