ISIS Calls Erdogan ‘Traitor,’ Urges Conquest of Istanbul

The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS) has released its first Turkish-language video, a fiery rant by an unidentified graybeard surrounded by the usual armed thugs in which the Turkish people are urged to reject democracy, overthrow the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, fight the United States, and do everything they can to assist the Islamic State and its “Caliph,” Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Rumors Of Death, Paralysis Surround The Fate of ISIS Leader Baghdadi

Several conflicting reports have surfaced about the fate of the Islamic State’s self- declared “Caliph” Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, who is believed to have been severely injured in a recent U.S. airstrike. Over the weekend and into Monday, reports have stated that Baghdadi’s health status varies from deceased, to complete paralysis, to only having sustained minor injuries.

Australian Defense Minister Refuses to Name Head of ISIS

Australian Defense Minister Kevin Andrews refused to speak the name of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi during a TV interview this week. Australia is sending another 330 troops to assist Iraqi forces against the Islamic State. Interviewer Leigh Sales notes that the United States put great effort into taking down Osama bin Laden after 9/11, and wonders if similar emphasis could be put on capturing the leader of ISIS.
