Mexican Cops Find Horse in Car While Responding to Cartel Execution Scene

MONTERREY, Nuevo Leon — Local police officers responding to a call about a body stuffed inside a car found a horse instead.

The case began when police officers from Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, received a call about a possible kidnapping or cartel execution where a person wrapped in a blanket was stuffed in the back of a sports car that was traveling along one of the city’s main avenues.

Law enforcement personnel from various agencies responded to the call and began to search for a vehicle matching the description. Authorities pulled over a white Chevrolet Camaro that appeared to have a large bundle in the back, wrapped in a blanket.

During the traffic stop, a scared 30-year-old Felipe Monsivais told authorities that he was not carrying a human body but was taking his sick horse to the veterinarian. In the back of the vehicle, authorities found a bound horse.

Authorities called animal control and issued a citation to the driver. The various cartels that operate in this state often use blankets when concealing murders. The bodies are wrapped and left in public spaces. This practice appears to be behind the confusion in this case.
