Nat’l Border Patrol Council Head: 17-Year Low In Illegal Border Crossings ‘Due Strictly to President Trump’s Policies’

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.,” Border Patrol agent and National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd stated, “Just the simple promise we’re going to enforce the laws, the way the laws are written, has caused illegal immigration on the border to drop exponentially.” And that there is a 17-year low in illegal border crossings that is “due strictly to President Trump’s policies.”

Judd said, “Whether you lean left, right, or in the middle, you have to be a fan of what he’s done for the Border Patrol, for border security. He’s done more in the first 100 days than the last two administrations have done in 16 years.”

He added, “Just the simple promise we’re going to enforce the laws, the way the laws are written, has caused illegal immigration on the border to drop exponentially. With Jeff Sessions going out and reinforcing — Attorney General Sessions, going out and reinforcing exactly what President Trump stands for, this is also going to cause illegal immigration to drop exponentially.”

Judd stated that it wouldn’t be a good idea to delay border wall funds until next year, something House Speaker Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) is reportedly suggesting, and that “a border wall in strategic locations is one of those things that we must get done.”

He further said, “In 20 years on the Border Patrol, I’ve never seen such a quick drop, and the 17-year low [in illegal border crossings] is in fact correct. And again, that’s due strictly to President Trump’s policies.”

Judd concluded, “President Trump has come in and he’s not politicizing it. He said that he’s going to he will secure the border, and he’s done exactly what he said he was going to do.”
