Donald Trump: President Obama is the ‘Founder of ISIS’

Donald Trump doubled down on calling President Obama the founder of the Islamic State (ISIS) during an appearance on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show on Thursday.

The New Yorker first made the claim during a campaign rally in Florida on Wednesday night. Speaking to more than 8,000 people, Trump declared: “ISIS is honoring President Obama. He’s the founder of ISIS.”

Hewitt questioned Trump on his wording and meaning, asking, “Last night, you said the President was the founder of ISIS. I know what you meant. You meant that he created the vacuum, he lost the peace.”

“No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do. He was the most valuable player. I give him the most valuable player award. I give her, too, by the way, Hillary Clinton,” Trump said doubling down on his claim.

“He was the founder. His, the way he got out of Iraq was that that was the founding of ISIS, okay?” Trump defended. “Everyone’s liking it. I think they’re liking it. I give him the most valuable player award. And I give it to him, and I give it to, I gave the co-founder to Hillary.”

Trump argued that Obama founded ISIS because he didn’t do “things properly.”
