First Lady Michelle Obama has received the stamp of approval for her new children’s book, “American Grown,” from the most important audience of all: her two daughters. “This is my very first book and my very first and probably only booksigning,” she said to a crowd at a local Barnes & Noble. “I wanted the book to be beautiful and I think that the pictures are absolutely beautiful. I could tell because when Malia and Sasha picked it up – you know, it’s mom, it’s like, ‘oh, your book, how nice’ – they actually got pulled in by the pictures. They couldn’t put it down and they started looking through it and then they started reading it. And eventually I got a thumbs up.”

Apparently, this is also how President Obama decided his policy on gay marriage. At least in this case, the First Lady didn’t cite her non-existent sons as blurbers on the back cover.
