NASCAR's Richard Petty Headlines Romney Campaign Storm Relief Efforts

NASCAR legend Richard "The King" Petty and country music singer Randy Owen have joined Mitt Romney in Ohio today to aid the Romney campaign in storm relief efforts for those impacted by the massive storm Sandy, which hit the Northeast Monday evening.

Even before Hurricane Sandy made landfall, the Romney campaign used its bus on Sunday to collect relief supplies and canceled fundraising pitches to all states that would be impacted by the storm. The Romney campaign has urged supporters to donate the Red Cross, prominently featuring the organization's donation button on its website.

Paul Ryan will be in Wisconsin in La Crosse and Hudson on Tuesday to help volunteers collect items for storm relief efforts, while Ann Romney will do the same in Davenport, Wisconsin and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. All of Romney's campaign offices will be used to collect supplies to help those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Ryan was to be in Colorado on Tuesday but cancelled his campaign appearance to return to Wisconsin.
