Obama Secretary of Labor Passes Out Candy to Celebrate 7.9% Unemployment

What would you do if you were Secretary of Labor, and you found out that your administration had just overseen a four-year job unemployment trajectory that went from 7.6% to 7.9%? If you’re Hilda Solis, and if you’re cozy with the mainstream media, you’d celebrate.

That’s just what Solis did today. The Labor Secretary, according to reporter Scott MacFarlane, “just bounced into studio with a big smile. Handed out candy to reporters. Loves job numbers.”

You know who doesn’t love the job numbers? The 5 million Americans who have been unemployed for over a year. The 23 million Americans still out of work. And the hundreds of millions of Americans who are about to get hit with higher taxes in a stagnant economy thanks to Secretary Solis’ boss, President Obama.

An increasing unemployment rate is no reason for celebration. Unless you’re the Obama administration, where success has been defined down dramatically.
