Star Wars creator George Lucas is as much savvy businessman as creator of fictional galaxies.
Lucas leaned on the entrepreneurial side of his background while receiving the Nora Zarky Humanitarian Award from Women in Film this week.
The famed moviemaker talked about working alongside women throughout his career and watching his own daughter enter the entertainment industry. He also has been a strong proponent of helping both male and female veterans enter the film business, and he addressed the issue while accepting the award.
“We need to spend twice as much on veterans and helping them in the workforce,” Lucas urged, blended with footage of him personally working to mentor a young veteran.
