Breitbart Sports has learned that an unnamed Brooklyn Nets basketball player is being questioned in an alleged sexual assault of a 21-year-old Philadelphia woman.

The alleged incident happened early Tuesday morning.  The Nets play the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night in Philadelphia.

Brooklyn Nets general manager Billy King confirmed one of his players was under investigation.

Philadelphia police public affairs officer Jillian Russell confirmed to USA Today there was a sexual assault complaint at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia. According to the paper, “no one has been detained, and if charges are filed, they are not expected to be filed today.”

According to CBSPhilly.com, the “21-year old female filed a complaint alleging that she was sexually assaulted inside the Four Seasons in City Center at about 4 a.m. Tuesday. The woman was taken to hospital for examination, and the player and his associates were brought in for questioning.”

The Four Seasons in Philadelphia released a statement: “The Philadelphia Police Department responded to a call to Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia early this morning (January 8). We are fully cooperating with the police investigation. We would advise all questions be directed to the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to NBC, the unnamed Nets player was allegedly “in the hotel suite at the time of the alleged incident but was not in the bedroom where it may have occurred.”

This is a developing story and Breitbart Sports will continue to update it with new information as it develops.
