Patriots Owner: Tebow's Faith Appealing, a Factor in Signing
Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Tim Tebow’s faith was very appealing to him when he decided, along with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, to ultimately sign him.
“He’s a winner, and the fact that spirituality is so important to him is very appealing to me,” Kraft said, according to CBS Boston. “For me personally, having Tim Tebow on this team, he’s someone who believes in spirituality, he’s very competitive, works hard and has a great attitude.”

He added, “You can’t have enough good people around you, and (Tebow) has the added dimension of spirituality being so important to him, and that personally appeals to me a lot.”

Kraft said he also did not know anyone who was not objective who has said anything bad about Tebow personally.

“Every interaction I’ve seen and watched, whether he’s in college or when I met him in the draft process, he handles himself in a first-class way,” he said. “I don’t know anyone who has ever said anything that is not positive about him, people who are objective.”

Other teams reportedly took a pass on Tebow because they did not want to deal with his rabid supporters who root for Tebow because of his public embrace of his Christian faith.
