Protesters Around the Nation Show Opposing Views on Social Media

As the nation waited for the news regarding the possible indictment of Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, protesters nationwide took to the streets and to social media to voice their opposing views on the case.

In places like New York City’s Union Square and Downtown Chicago, protesters walked the streets holding signs calling for justice in the case.

Twitter users began using the hashtag #blacklivesmatter and #fergusondecision to voice their views or claiming that the justice system is broken.

Similarly, conservative users using the hashtag #ferguson began voicing their support for Wilson, supporting the officers role in the shooting and that it was justified.

In the minutes before the decision was announced the social media updates continued to intensify.  Once the announcement of No Bill was made, twitter users began showing compassion to the Brown family while others began posting insults at the Grand Jury for their decision.
