Obama Joins Celebrity Reality Survival Show To Highlight Climate Change

The White House confirms President Obama will appear on the reality wilderness show “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” for an episode highlighting Alaska and the impact of climate change.

Grylls, a famous survivalist and adventurer uses his show to take celebrity guests on survival trips. The show is in its second season and includes celebrities including Kate Winslet, Kate Hudson, Ed Helms, Michelle Rodriguez, Zac Efron, and James Marsden.

“President Obama will become the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Bear Grylls,” the announcement from NBC reveals, reminding the audience that the show features “one-on-one adventures that test their survival skills and push them to their mental and physical limits”

The episode will run later this year.
