Sarah Palin: Marco Rubio ‘Robotic’

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin calls Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) a “robotic” presidential candidate.

Palin spoke with CNN’s Jake Tapper at a “Politics On Tap” event in Vegas before the fifth Republican presidential debate.

Sarah Palin played a word-association game where Tapper mentioned a name and Palin responded with the first thing that came to her mind. When asked about Rubio she described him as “robotic.” When Tapper mentioned Hillary, Palin said “nyquil.” For New Jersey Governor Chris Christie: “embraced Obama,” Palin said. For former Florida Governor Jeb Bush she said, “George.”

Palin said that she has not endorsed any candidates running for president, but praised Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

“I’m not going to pick one right now, but what a nice problem to have if it came down to Cruz and Trump,” Palin told Tapper. “That’s a good problem for voters to have, because we know that, as you say, they are both strong and very decisive and someone who would take the initiative. That is what we need today, and both of those candidates would fit that bill.”

Palin was also asked her thoughts on Donald Trump’s proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States. Palin said that the mainstream media distorted his comments and didn’t allow Trump to finish his thought before attacking the real estate mogul.

“I think that Trump was trying to finish the conversation that would lead to a pause on immigration in general, Jake. I think that’s where he was going,” Palin said.
