House Speaker Paul Ryan called on President Barack Obama to release the full unedited, uncensored 9-1-1 transcripts of the Orlando, Florida terrorist who attacked a gay nightclub.

Ryan called the Obama administration’s decision to edit out the terrorist’s references to Islam “preposterous.”

“The administration should release the full, unredacted transcript so the public is clear-eyed about who did this, and why,” Ryan said in a statement.

Ryan indicated that it was obvious that the shooter was inspired by radical Islam, asserting that it should not be hidden from the public.

“We know the shooter was a radical Islamist extremist inspired by ISIS,” said Ryan. “We also know he intentionally targeted the LGBT community.”

Ryan has criticized the president for not recognizing the seriousness of the threat posed to the United States by ISIS and radical Islamic terrorism.

“He is phoning it in on the war on terror,” Ryan said on Fox News last week after the attacks. “Trust me when I say we share that frustration.”
