Donald Trump is reportedly ready to announce his vice presidential pick this week, and former Alaska Governor and GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is hoping his choice is not someone from the Republican establishment or the permanent political class.

In an interview with Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Sunday, which airs on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 from 7 PM to 10 PM EST, Palin, when asked what she was looking for in Trump’s vice presidential pick, said she wanted someone who is a “bit unconventional” and not involved in “any part of the [political] machinery.”

Palin warned that if Trump selects someone from the Republican establishment as his running mate, then “that’s going to turn off too many conservatives.” She feared such a choice would discourage conservatives from “showing up to vote—and that’s a vote for Hillary.”

Palin said she wanted Trump to pick someone who “is going top put it all on the the line” like the founders put their personal lives, fortunes, families, and professions on the line to fight for what is right and the future of the country.
