White House press secretary Sarah Sanders announced a ban on personal cellphones and devices in the West Wing, in an apparent attempt to block leaks from the White House.

“[S]tarting next week the use of all personal devices for both guests and staff will no longer be allowed in the West Wing,” Sanders said in a statement to reporters. “Staff will be able to conduct business on their government-issued devices and continue working hard on behalf of the American people.”

She added that the new policy demonstrated the Trump administration’s commitment to security.

Sanders’ announcement appears to be a reaction to the latest leaks in the explosive book on the Trump presidency by Michael Wolff, which capitalizes on insecure White House aides striving for influence.
