Baltimore to Spend $200K to Help Illegal Aliens Avoid Deportation

The city of Baltimore, Maryland will spend $200,000 to help illegal aliens fight deportation and remain in the United States.

Last week, Baltimore city officials approved $200,000 — half of which comes from an open borders organization while the other half is taxpayer money — to spend on hiring attorneys for illegal aliens who are in the process of being deported.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the legal fund is designed to help about 40 illegal aliens stay in the U.S. and avoid deportation.

Baltimore’s Director for Immigrant and Multicultural Affairs Catalina Rodriguez Lima told the Baltimore Sun that taxpayers footing the bill will “help reduce fear.”

The current immigration policies have disrupted our communities — including families, schools and workplaces,” Lima said. “Due process and fair representation will help reduce fear and disrupt the ripple effects of deportation in our families.”

Aside from being a sanctuary city that protects criminal illegal aliens from deportation, Baltimore has gone as far as urging prosecutors not to charge illegal aliens with minor crimes because that could lead to them being deported out of the U.S., as Breitbart News reported.

Globalist billionaire George Soros has also been involved in helping to fund illegal aliens’ legal fees in the city of Baltimore. Last year, Breitbart News reported how Soros’ Southeast Baltimore Open Society Foundation donated $100,000 to a Baltimore legal fund, created by a number of open borders groups, to pay for lawyers for illegal aliens as they try to avoid deportation.
