George Clooney: Global Warming Skeptics 'Stupid,' 'Ridiculous'

Oscar-winner George Clooney is considered a generous actor, one known for his jovial on-set pranks and taste in quality projects.

He’s also dismissive to the point of cruelty to those who don’t see things his way.

Consider Clooney’s callous comments regarding Charlton Heston, first making a joke about the actor’s battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and then saying Heston deserved the slam for his support of the NRA. (Clooney says he sent Heston a note of apology).

Now, Clooney is calling those who challenge the scientific status quo on global warming “stupid” and worse, ignoring the fact that global warming has plateaued over the past decade.

Well it’s just a stupid argument,” Clooney told reporters. “If you have 99 percent of doctors who tell you ‘you are sick’ and 1 percent that says ‘you’re fine,’ you probably want to hang out with, check it up with the 99. You know what I mean? The idea that we ignore that we are in some way involved in climate change is ridiculous. What’s the worst thing that happens? We clean up the earth a little bit?
