Country music icon Loretta Lynn is “sold” on Donald Trump – so much so that the legendary singer-songwriter wants to actively campaign for the Republican frontrunner’s presidential bid.

In an interview with Reuters over the weekend, the 83-year-old Lynn says she’s been endorsing Trump after concerts, and her fans like what she has to say.

“When you get up there and try to say you want to see Hillary Clinton win, that wouldn’t go over so big,” the Nashville legend told Reuters, adding: “Trump has sold me – what more can I say?”

The First Lady of Country revealed that her second choice for president would be Sen. Ted Cruz, but she hopes Trump gets the nomination. She also said she’d like to campaign for his election, but said she wouldn’t try to contact the businessman herself.

“I just think he’s the only one who’s going to turn this country around,” Lynn said of Trump. “I’m going to let him call me.”

In December, Lynn told Billboard magazine that she believes Trump “is going to be our next president.”

“I like him,” she told the magazine. “I mean, Donald’s Donald.”

Lynn has released more than 50 albums over a five-decade-long career and has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. The musician’s autobiography, The Coal Miner’s Daughter, was turned into a feature film starring Tommy Lee Jones and Sissy Spacek, who won the Best Actress Oscar for playing Lynn. The musician’s latest album, The Circle, will be released March 4.

The country icon was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013, and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. She is also the most-awarded female country musician of all time.
