Cyprus’s central bank said “indications are” that the country’s banks will reopen on Thursday after a 12-day closure imposed as the country sought an EU-IMF bailout.
“Indications are that banks will open tomorrow with some restrictions on capital,” spokeswoman Aliki Sylianou told the state broadcaster.
“The restrictions will be limited to allow the flow of capital as much as possible but we also need to protect the financial system.”
