The 109th Copa del Rey final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid was forced into extra time after both sides were locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu on Friday.
Cristiano Ronaldo had headed Real into a 13th minute lead, but Atletico battled back and were level 10 minutes before half-time when Diego Costa slotted home his eighth goal in the competition this season.
Real then hit the post twice in a tense second-half and their frustration boiled over when manager Jose Mourinho was sent from the touchline for taking his protests towards the officials too far.
