The Czech Republic’s Zuzana Hejnova justified her favourites tag on Thursday by winning the women’s 400 metres hurdles world title at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow.
The 26-year-old posted the fastest time of the year (52.83 seconds) to finish clear of American Dalilah Muhammad (54.09), while Olympic silver medallist and defending champion Lashinda Demus, also of the USA, took bronze (54.27).
