Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) will visit Iowa and South Carolina this week, for a series of receptions and town halls as he seeks to connect with Republican primary voters in these critical early primary states.

Breitbart News spoke to Rick Tyler, Cruz’s National Spokesman, about the trip. Tyler said there’s no specific name for the tour, but that it is “part of our post-announcement roll out.” According to Tyler, Cruz will be expounding on the themes from his announcement speech last month at Liberty University: taking about the “promise of America,” and asking the audience to “imagine” a better future for the country.
