GOP frontrunner Donald Trump said the judge in a civil lawsuit over Trump University, which his rivals criticized him about during the GOP debate on Thursday, is “hostile” toward Trump, suggesting it’s because the judge is Hispanic.

“We have a very hostile judge because to be honest with you,” he should have thrown out the lawsuit, Trump charged. “He’s Hispanic, which is fine and we haven’t asked for a recusal, which we may do.”

“I don’t like settling suits,” Trump said. “Everybody sues you,” he suggested, if he settles lawsuits.

Trump said the plaintiff that began the lawsuit against Trump University had previously praised the school on paper and that “She’s on film saying how great [it] is.”

Trump also referenced the Attorney General of New York suing him in civil court over Trump University.

“The Attorney General gets a campaign contribution from the law firm that’s suing me,” Trump charged, referencing Eric Schneiderman, saying he’s “not respected in New York — doing a terrible job!”

“He meets with Obama, gets a campaign contribution I think … and all of a sudden he meets with Obama…the following day or two, he brings a lawsuit against me,” Trump alleged.

Trump said he’s won much of the case and that it is on appeal right now.
