In response to My Favorite Kenyan – Uncle Onyango:
In the wake of the Uncle Onyango scandal, the president vowed to find out exactly what happened and promised that any wrongdoers would be held “fully accountable.”
Obama said he first learned he had stayed with his uncle for three weeks while he was a student at Harvard in “the same news reports that I think most people” did.
“This is pretty straightforward,” Mr. Obama told reporters. “If in fact I stayed with Uncle Onyango as has been reported, and then lied about it – then that’s outrageous and there’s no place for it.”
