DNC chair demonstrates how politics replace personal character for liberals

It’s a core tenet of authoritarian “liberalism” that political positions completely override personal character.  If you have the “wrong,” non-liberal politics, it doesn’t matter how good and decent you are.  Loving and gentle husbands become “abusive to women” by opposing the abortion and mandatory-birth-control agendas, for example.  Politics even erases individual identity, as any conservative woman who has ever been ceremonially stripped of her femininity, or any conservative black man who has ever been told he’s not really black, can attest.

Conversely, if you have the correct politics, your personal conduct is irrelevant.  The entire sexual-harassment crusade of the Nineties was instantly and absolutely suspended for Bill Clinton, whose correct politics entitled him to do exactly what “feminists” had just spent the better part of a decade railing against.  Not only did he escape criticism, but “feminists” were ready to throw themselves in front of political bullets to keep the Sexual-Harasser-In-Chief in office.  Ted Kennedy’s long career of lewd behavior followed him killing a woman, but he was still a “liberal lion” and “feminist” hero because of his correct political agenda.

Now we’ve got Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee, demonstrating both the positive and negative aspects of the totalitarian faith that political agendas are the sole measure of character.  Campaigning for gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke in Wisconsin, Wasserman Schultz dove deep into Democrat “War on Women” gender-pandering by declaring on stage that incumbent Republican governor Scott Walker “has given women the back of his hand.  I know that is stark.  I know that is direct.  But that is reality.”

Well, no, actually it’s the opposite of reality.  It’s another of the sick political fantasies roiling through the cavernous expanse of DWS’s hate-filled noggin.  Scott Walker hasn’t given any women “the back of his hand.”  He has political positions Debbie Wasserman Schultz disagrees with.  A large number of women wholeheartedly agree with Walker’s positions on the issues in question – but as mentioned above, to the totalitarian Left, Walker’s female supporters (such as his Lieutenant Governor, Rebecca Kleefisch) aren’t really women.  They sacrificed their authenticity by adopting political positions the Left says are forbidden to women.

Wasserman Schutz wasn’t finished yet, adding: “What Republican Tea Party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back.  It is not going to happen on our watch.”  Again, nobody’s hair is actually getting pulled; it’s just a cheap attempt by a blabbering idiot to frighten women – who DWS clearly believes are stupid and easily stampeded with fire-breathing rhetoric – into supporting her politics.

While the actual Democrat candidate in Wisconsin, Mary Burke, dove under the nearest desk and stayed hidden while waiting for the backlash to Wasserman Schutlz’s outrageous language to blow over, the DNC press secretary was dispatched to explain: “Domestic violence is an incredibly serious issue, and the congresswoman was by no means belittling the very real pain survivors experience.”

Oh, yes she was.  DWS was absolutely belittling the very real pain survivors experience, by definition.  She was explicitly stating that their pain is equivalent to a Republican holding political positions that Debbie Wasserman Schultz disagrees with.  There’s not much this foolish woman could do that would belittle the pain of domestic abuse survivors more.

Except, perhaps, campaign hard for a Democrat candidate whose work as a lawyer involved defending actual abusive husbands.  Which is exactly what Debbie Wasserman Schultz was doing, ten days before she uttered her despicable slander of Scott Walker on stage in Wisconsin.  From the Washington Examiner:

Wasserman Schultz was in Albuquerque Aug. 24 to promote Democrats, including 2nd Congressional District candidate Roxanne Lara, an attorney whose practice includes family and divorce law. Her campaign biography said the Carlsbad attorney focuses on defending abused children.

In four cases from 2001 to 2012 reviewed by Secrets, she defended a man who allegedly sexually abused his estranged wife, another who allegedly beat his wife and forced her on drugs she was allergic to, another who smashed up his estranged wife’s home, according to a police report, and a fourth accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.

The cases had a similar abusive theme summed up in a quote from one of those allegedly targeted by Lara’s client: “He wouldn’t give me a divorce, he doesn’t plan to re-marry, he just make my life a living hell,” she said in the court papers.

It’s no big deal.  After all, the presumptive Democrat nominee for President in 2016 is a woman who laughed merrily during an interview as she recalled winning a light sentence for a child rapist she knew was guilty.  Watching that guy beat a polygraph test was one of the funniest things Hillary Clinton ever saw.

It’s politics over all for the totalitarian Left.  Literally all that matters is Party affiliation and ideological purity.  A Democrat can’t belittle domestic-abuse survivors by definition, no matter what she says or days, because she’s got the right politics.  And Republicans are functionally equivalent to abusive spouses, patriarchal oppressors, and terrorists because they have the wrong politics.  Why anyone, of any race or sex, in their right mind would expect decent governance from people with the Democrat mindset is beyond me.  They’re openly telling you personal character is irrelevant compared to political posturing.  They also believe the actual results of their policies are far less important than their good intentions.  Why is anyone surprised when they always turn out to be incompetent and/or corrupt?
