MCALLEN, Texas — A previously convicted drug trafficking illegal alien is back in jail after being deported three times. He is, once again, facing immigration charges after yet another arrest.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement -Enforcement and Removal Operations took custody of Ramiro Garcia Cardenas over the weekend after he had been initially arrested last week by Alton Police for a separate crime.

Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas don’t show why Cardenas was arrested but since he is in the country illegally, authorities put an immigration hold on him and he was turned over to ICE agents.

During an investigation, ICE agents learned that he had been deported for a third time in 2011 through Del Rio. The deportation came after Garcia Cardenas had spent 60 months in federal custody following his 2008 conviction on drug trafficking charges.

The date of Garcia Cardenas’ other two deportations was listed in the court records obtained by Breitbart Texas.
