Willie Geist: Clintons Only Making Changes At Foundation ‘Because They’ve Been Exposed,’ ‘And They Have To’

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Willie Geist stated that the Clintons are only agreeing to make changes at the Clinton Foundation “because they’ve been exposed, and people know about all the things that have been going on, and they have to do something.”

Geist said, “If it’s not okay for the president of the United States to have these relationships through the Clinton Foundation, why is it okay for secretary of state? The Clintons were lauded yesterday as falling on their swords, and we’re going to walk away from the Clinton Foundation, as if it was this grand gesture that they’re sacrificing, well why didn’t they do it when they were secretary of state. They’re doing it now because they’ve been exposed, and people know about all the things that have been going on, and they have to do something.”
