FS1’s Whitlock: Kaepernick Not Being Blackballed — ‘He’s Not that Damn Good, He Wants Too Much Money’

On Wednesday, Fox Sports 1 “Speak for Yourself” co-host Jason Whitlock argued that the reason quarterback Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned this offseason is not because he has been blackballed, but rather that he is just not good and is asking for too much money, reportedly $9-$10 million a year.

“[Kaepernick] won one game last year, he’s not that damn good, he wants too much money, but oh no, he’s getting blackballed, it’s all racism,” Whitlock said. “They’re virtue signaling.”

Whitlock also slammed the quarterback for trying too hard to show how black he is.

“Colin Kaepernick, they just showed the video of him walking into the stadium with the Muhammad Ali all on his chest. ‘Look at how black I am. I know I’m half black, half white, I know I’m raised by white people, but look how black I am. That’s all he’s doing.”
