Chris Matthews Asks Who Is Trump ‘Afraid of Offending’ By Saying He Doesn’t Like Nazis?’

Thursday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” while discussing President Donald Trump maintaining his position that people on both sides of the deadly Charlottesville, VA violence were bad, host Chris Matthews asked who was “afraid of offending” by stating that he doesn’t like Nazis?

Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) said, “The president needs to show leadership. And I had talked to the president before he gave his speech and that’s what I said to him. There is no moral equivalency.”

Matthews interjected, “Who is he afraid of offending by stating that he doesn’t like Nazis? I mean, really?”
