Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) expressed his skepticism the United States could win a trade war with China.
On Tuesday, McConnell told reporters that “nobody wins a trade war” when asked about President Donald Trump‘s ongoing tariff dispute with China.
McConnell said, “One thing I think we all agree in is nobody wins a trade war. We’re all hoping as others have suggested here that these particular tactics get us in a better position vis-a-vis China, which has been our worst and most unfair trading relationship for a very long time.”
