Amid all the observances and solemn statements and cries of “Boston Strong,” the firstanniversary of the Boston Marathon jihad massacre proved one thing: denial about jihadterror and the mosques that encourage it is stronger than ever.
All the observances, commemorations and coverage studiously avoided mentioningwhy the attack happened in the first place (jihad) and the Islamic Society of Boston,where the jihad murderers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attended mosque prayers.Boston’s former Mayor Thomas Menino put on a sad, grieving face for the anniversaryobservances. He should have been grieving over the outrageous sweetheart deal he gaveto the Islamic Society of Boston on some prime Boston real estate, enabling them to buildtheir huge mosque essentially at taxpayer expense.
No one mentioned what I wrote about at Breitbart last year: that the Islamic Society ofBoston, which the Tsarnaevs attended, has numerous connections to jihad terrorists. Inoted that the Islamic Society of Boston “was founded by Abdulrahman Alamoudi, theleading “moderate Muslim” in Washington throughout the 1990s. Alamoudi turned out tobe an al-Qaeda financier and is now in prison.” Alamoudi was also a close associate andfinancier of Republican power broker Grover Norquist. Convicted jihad terrorists AafiaSiddiqui and Tarek Mehanna had also been members of the Islamic Society of Boston.
The imam of the Islamic Society of Boston, Suhaib Webb, is revered in the mainstreammedia as a “moderate,” but he has actually denounced secularism as a “radical lunaticideology.” Webb also once headed up a fund-raiser for a cop killer, together with arch-terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki. That didn’t stop the Boston Globe from running a pieceseveral days ago entitled “Inclusive spirit reassures Muslims after bombings,” as ifMuslims had been the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, not its perpetrators.
This was the same mosque about which Fox News reported after the bombing “has acontroversial history, with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, terror funding and frequentfiery sermons.” USA Today added, “Its sister mosque in Boston, known as theIslamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, has invited guests who have defendedterrorism suspects. A former trustee appears in a series of videos in which he advocatestreating gays as criminals, says husbands should sometimes beat their wives and calls onAllah (God) to kill Zionists and Jews.”
Yet during all the anniversary observances and analyses, there was no mention made ofthe Boston mosque at the center of the Boston bombing. Not a word in the mainstreammedia. Nor is there ever mention of the mosques behind any and all Islamic attacks.There have been close to 23,000 deadly Islamic attacks since 9/11, each one with amosque behind it and the impimatur of a Muslim cleric.
Yet the media remains silent, and the politicians are complicit and/or compromised. LastFriday, in a Clinton Library document dump, there came to light Bill Clinton’s mash noteto the 9/11 terror mosque – written not a year before 9/11.
The same cluelessness is even more prevalent today. At the “solemn tribute” in Boston,Barack Obama said: “One year later, we also stand in awe of the men and women whocontinue to inspire us.” But of course neither he or anyone else said even a single wordabout the ideology that motivates this global war against freedom. Obama wouldn’t havedreamed of calling out the Islamic Society of Boston and demanding that it work to makesure this kind of bloody jihad attack doesn’t ever happen again on American soil. Neitherhe nor anyone else would have dared to call upon Boston mosque leaders to work towardgenuine reform of Islam, demanding that they institute programs to make sure that youngMuslims resolutely reject the Quran’s calls to make war against unbelievers, hate Jews,oppress women, and more.
Even after people are blown to bits on an American city street, we still refuse to discussthe identity, motives and goals of the enemy, and the role played in such attacks by theplaces where the enemy congregates and plots.
This denial, defeatism and fear is heading our nation toward catastrophe. Our officials’steadfast refusal to name the enemy is opening the door to future jihad attacks. It’s aninvitation to disaster, and that disaster will surely come in the form of yet another jihadattack that officials missed, as they were too busy doing “outreach” to jihad-tied mosqueslike the Islamic Society of Boston.
It isn’t just Boston, either. One year to the day after the Boston jihad mass murder,Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City pulled the plug on a counter-terror program thatsaved lives. So it comes down to this: which is more important, saving lives or offendingsavages and their apologists? We have our answer. We are witnessing civilizationalsuicide.
