Video Game Lets Players Pit North Korea Against U.S.

A new video game scheduled for release in November will allow gamers to pit North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un against the U.S. military.

According to ABC News, the game is titled, “Glorious Leader,” and designer Jeff Miller says he created the game because of his “fascination” with North Korea.

Said Miller: “[North Korea] is the most unique place on earth as far as I can tell, and I didn’t know how to process my thoughts on the country, on what they’re doing wrong, on what the international community is doing in response to it. I thought making the game would help me figure out how to have a voice on it.”

Miller makes clear that his fascination with North Korea does not equate to being an “apologist” for the communist country. He said he “purposely amped up the ridiculousness so…the game [is] clearly satirical.”

The game “will be available for PC and mobile.”
