Buzzcut Chalamet, blonde Pattinson appear in ‘Dune: Part Three’

March 17 (UPI) — Warner Bros. released the teaser trailer for Dune: Part Three on Tuesday. The film opens in theaters Dec. 18.

At the beginning of the trailer, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya) are discussing potential baby names. Paul suggests Ghanima for a girl and Chani suggests Leto, after his late father, played by Oscar Isaac in the first movie, for a boy.

Later in the trailer, Paul asks his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), how his father protected the family. She tells him, “Your father never started a war.”

Paul shaves his head later in the trailer. The trailer also shows Robert Pattinson as Scytale with blonde hair.

Jason Momoa, Anya Taylor-Joy, Florence Pugh, Isaach De Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem also star.

The movie is billed as the conclusion of the trilogy. Director Denis Villeneuve adapted Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah with Brian K. Vaughan. However, Herbert wrote more Dune novels.
