Feb. 12 (UPI) — Prime video released the trailer for Spider-Noir on Thursday. The series premieres May 27.
Nicolas Cage stars as Ben Reilly, a private investigator in a film noir-inspired 1930s era New York. Cage voiced another iteration of Spider-Man Noir in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The show will be viewable in both black and white and “True Hue” Color. The trailer was released in both editions, following Wednesday’s poster and photo reveals.
The show depicts Ben at the beginning of his spider powers. He engages in a bar fight, but also screams and poses with his limbs in extreme positions like classic Cage performances.
Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston and Brendan Gleeson also star. Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Amanda Schull and Andrew Robinson are among guest stars.
Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot are showrunners and executive producers. Harry Bradbeer directed the first two episodes and executive produces.
Spider-Verse filmmakers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal developed the series with Uziel and Lightfoot and are also executive producers, as is Cage.
